There is easy access to Central London on the Underground, and you can have a choice of good Language schools and colleges with both day and evening classes.
Mum and Dad are professional, and have 3 children,( 2 boys of 7 and 4, a girl of 9 months, and a Baby due in March 2009.
Mum is really tired, and would like some help over Christmas and the School Holidays – both with light housework, tidying up, and keeping the children happy.

The Family live in Hampstead Garden suburb , which as the name says, is a pretty area of London – a lovely suburb of North West London, close to the trendy and arty area of Hampstead, and the busy area of Golders Green – both areas with shops, cafes, and bars... and for those of you who love the shops, it is close to one of London’s major shopping centres!
The Family require a good House Keeper, with previous experience of this. They will accept an applicant who either wishes to live in, or live out, and will pay accordingly.
Your working hours will be from 7.30am -7.00pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Babysitting. Duties are to clean, take care of washing, ironing and Laundry to a high standard, and cooking light Family meals.
The Family has 2 pet dogs, and you will not be asked to walk the dogs, but you will need to feed them, and clean their Baskets.
You may be required to supervise Trades People.
The Home is Detached, with 5 Bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and it has Internet Facilities.

The Family live in Watford, which is a very large Town, very close to North West London, and to its many other suburbs, most only 10 minutes away in different directions by bus. There is also easy access by rail to central London in only 20 minutes. Watford has a very famous Football club, a major shopping centre, clubs, bars and cafes, a Theatre, and a big and popular Market. There are a choice of different Language Schools and Colleges for you to attend, and a Library. It is very close to where there are other Au Pairs for you to meet and make friends.
Dad (47 yrs) is a Criminal defence Lawyer, and Mum (46 yrs) is a Company Director of a very large company.
They have 2 children, a boy aged 12yrs, and a girl aged 8yrs.
The Boy loves his football, and the girl loves Drama and dance.
Your Duties would be to get the children up in the morning, give them Breakfast, take them to School, and then come home to do some light Housework. Your time would be your own in the middle of the day, and then you would need to return to School to pick the children up, bring them home, ensure that any Homework is done, and play with them to keep them amused and happy.
The Family Home has 4 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms, with Internet facilities which you are welcome to use.
You will have your own bright room, with fitted wardrobes, and room to study. The Family will give you your own TV, and you are welcome to have friends in the House.
The total working hours would usually be no more than 5 – 6 hours a day, but usually no more than 5. However, during School Holidays, Mum would like someone flexible, as there would probably be more hours needed, for which she would happily pay you.
It is absolutely essential that you can drive.
You should be a good and confident driver in your own Country, but if you have never driven in the UK, Mum is happy to pay for some professional driving lessons for you, so that you can adapt from 1 side of the road to another.

Come and live in this beautiful and famous area of London, famous for its Tennis, Strawberries and Cream, and “Henman Hill”, now renamed “Murray Mount” after England’s top tennis players.
Wimbledon has many green areas, shops, bars and cafes, and of course access to Language schools and is on the London Underground system for easy transport everywhere.
Mum describes their Household like this:
“We are a loving, friendly and laid back Household. We sometimes get very hectic, but we are never rushed.”
This family is very flexible as to whom they will consider – either 2 Au pairs who are happy to share the work, or 1 full time Mother’s Help.
They need someone to cover work over 6 days, to include a Saturday, but you would not ever have to work all day long for hours at a time – in Fact Fridays are usually very quiet most of the day!
Dad (45) is a Company Director, and Mum (35) works in Finance. Both parents are Professional, and have demanding responsible jobs involving travel, although very, very, rarely at the same time as each other, and in these instances you would have the support of a Family Friend staying with you too.
They have a little girl of 3yrs, who attends a Nursery on most days.
You will need to take her to Playgroup at 7.30 in the morning, and then do some Housework during the day – this can be at times to suit you if you attend school. At the end of the day you will need to collect the little girl from Nursery.
Mum says “she is a bubbly, and gorgeous 3 year old, and she loves dress ups and princess stories.”

This is a really friendly Family who are very flexible in who they will consider for this position – live in, live out, very experienced, or a little less experienced.
What really matters is that you yourself are flexible and willing, have a good level of spoken English, would be happy to do housework during the day if needed, to help tidy and clean a large 7 bedroom, 6 bathroom home (although there is a Cleaner employed daily too), and have previously had a lot of Childcare experience.
This Family has 4 children – Girl 11, Boy 9, Girl 6, Boy 2. The oldest 3 children are at School all day, and the youngest is at Nursery in the mornings, and comes home at Lunchtime.
Part of your duties would be to take the children to School, and pick them up at the end of the day – if you can drive, this is a bonus, but if not you can walk with the children.
After school, you will be needed to help with the really busy part of the day – homework / play time / supper / tidying up / Bath and Bed routines etc.
This Household is not only busy with the children, but also with everyone’s friends coming and going – a lot of entertaining is done.
You would be required to cook not only fresh and tasty meals daily for the children and the Family, but also for the Guests. (You will not have to do this on your own, but together with the Mother.)
The Family is Jewish, and observes the laws concerning Food and the Sabbath. You are not expected to have previous knowledge of this, but to be respectful of it, and be prepared to learn about Jewish Cooking.
If you choose to live in, your accommodation consists of a pretty room, with an en - suite bathroom.

You will organise the Household, clean the 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom Home, take care of the laundry and the ironing, organise shopping of Groceries and Household products making sure that everything is very well stocked. You will need to drive to the shops (all local, within this busy area of London), organise all Household jobs, make appointments for Trades people, and supervise their work.

You will need to take care of the School runs, and then when the children are at home, supervise them, play with them, and cook them a tasty meal.

This is a professional family in North London, where both Mum and Dad are lawyers, and are at work all day.

As a family, they say about themselves “We are calm and organised, but always busy. This allows everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves”.
Your duties would be to work Monday –Friday 7am -6pm, and 3 days a week the emphasis is on childcare, but 2 days a week the baby goes to a little “nursery” and you would be needed to do some housework.
3 of the children are at full time school, and you would have sole charge of the baby, who Mum describes as “divine”!

This family need a sensitive and kind person to live with an elderly lady of 83 years old, who at present is living on her own in a large House, with 5 bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms.
This lady does not want to feel “helpless” by being over protected, but because she has some mobility problems, and has fallen over in the past, her Family would feel happier if there was a kind, attentive person keeping her company, and making sure that she is OK.
She is a talkative lady from a large Jewish Family, and finds it frustrating to have various medical conditions stopping her from enjoying her usual activities.
You need to make her a cup of tea in the mornings, give her a light Breakfast, make sure she has her Pills, and generally keep her company so she is not alone, and help her move around if necessary.
If you are a good cook, this would be a bonus, but the lady is also able to make meals herself, and even enjoys some of the ready prepared meals!
Your actual working hours would be between 11am -3pm, and then 7.30 pm -10pm, Monday - Friday, plus overnight including weekends unless alternative arrangements are made.
Your accommodation will be a bedroom on the same level as the lady, and you will be provided with a TV and CD etc. You may use the Internet Facilities in the House.
You need to be a good driver, (an automatic car) and will be required to take the lady to shopping trips, visits, walks, etc.
The initial length of the contract is approx 6 months, but could be much longer.

Dad is 35, and a Director of a company within the Cosmetics Industry.

There are 2 children, a little girl of 2 years, and a baby boy of 2 weeks.
Mum would love you to help with both of the children, - bath / changing / dressing / put to Bed /maybe a bottle for the Baby, and of course lots of playtime!
You will also need to do some light housework, but a Cleaner is also employed as well.

Chelsea Family need a person with experience of House Keeping and childcare. Dad is 51, Italian and works in the field of Events Management. Mum is 40, British, and a designer. They have 1 child of 2yrs. Their home is a Flat, consisting of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you live in, your accommodation would consist of your own personal and private space, with TV, Internet Facilities, and an en –suite Bathroom.
Your duties would be a mixture of Housework and childcare. You will need to make Breakfast for the Family, tidy and clean the House, take care of Laundry and Ironing, collect the daughter from Nursery, feed her, play with her, put her down for a nap, and cook Dinner for the Family.
You will travel to Italy regularly with them. Mum says “We are extremely friendly and welcoming. We eat altogether, and enjoy having fun. If you would help by doing some regular house cleaning, that would be helpful, but is not essential, and would be reflected in the salary. The Family consists of Dad (40+, and MD of his own engineering contracting company), and Mum (40+, Co – Director, but also really busy doing Fund Raising for her childrens’ School) and 7 children (3 girls and 4 boys) all between the ages of 12 and 16 months. There is also a Baby on the way!
There is plenty of help for you in the Home – there are 2 Nannies, (one is going on Maternity leave soon) and also 2 cleaners.
Eventually, there will probably be 2 full - time House Keeper / Nannies to cover this work equally between you.
Your duties would be to arrive at 9 am, and tidy up from the aftermath of breakfast, ensure the House is clean and tidy, and take care of the Laundry.
You need to start to prepare a healthy and tasty Dinner for when the children all return home from School.
Mum and Dad need someone who can use their common sense and initiative, and keep things organised... not enough of a particular Food? Shopping needed? – Then please drive to the shops and take care of it!

In between all this, you will need to help with the welfare of the 2 youngest children, (aged 3 years and 16 months), and also some care of the newborn Baby, although the mother is likely to manage the responsibility of this at first.

Mum lives nearby, and if you wish you can earn extra money by doing her cleaning too. Hendon is a good area for with one of London’s major shopping centres nearby, plus local shops, Bars, cafes. However this Family has different needs to usual – they are a Family with no young children, so they need someone to look after their house for a few hours a day, and also who will go to the Mum’s own (elderly) Mother a short bus ride away, and look after her for a couple of hours a day. A Driver would be preferred for this, but public transport is available.
Mum and Dad and grown up children live in a lovely Suburb of NW London, with good shops, library, coffee shops and Bars, language schools, and easy transport to Central London by Underground.
Their home is detached, with 5 bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms. You would have your own Bedroom, and a shared Bathroom with the 2 Teenage Daughters.
You would be welcome to have friends in the Home.

The 3 children are Twins of 5 years (1 boy, 1 girl) and a girl of 11 months.
Your duties would be to help get the twins up, dressed and ready in the mornings, walk them to school, and then do about 1 hour of light housework.(The family also employs a cleaner). Then you will be free until approx 3.15 pm when you will need to
work until approx 6.15, and help with school pick –ups, give them a snack, and play with them until Mum comes home from work.

Your duties would be to work 4-5 hours in the mornings, from 7am -12noon, Monday to Friday, doing general housework, and then 3 hours from 4-7pm playing with the children, clearing up from dinner, and helping with baths for the children, and then putting them to bed etc.
You would have your own double room, with en suite bathroom, TV, DVD and CD player. You would be welcome to have friends in the home.Start in September.

This family live in Radlett, a beautiful suburb of NW London – but with easy rail access to Central London in less than 20 minutes!
It is an area where there are very many other Au Pairs, and has access to good schools, a library, shops, cafes and bars. It is a short 10 minute bus ride from Borehamwood and Elstree – also with shops/ schools/ cafes / bars and restaurants, and hundreds of au pairs.
Radlett is also equal distance to 2 very big towns 20 minutes in either direction.
One, St Albans, has a lot of Roman History, Cathedral, historical monuments, plus modern shops and clubs / bars / cafes, whilst in the other direction there is Watford, with its famous Football club, major shopping centre, clubs, bars and cafes.
The family consist of Mum (British / American, aged 39) and Dad (British, a lawyer, also aged 39,) and 3 children – 1 boy of 10 years, and 2 girls of 8 and 5. They also have an 8 month old puppy!!
This is a really busy household – the boys love playing sports, ( football and cricket), everyone loves swimming and walking the dog, and the children and Dad love time in the park with their bicycles. The boy loves his computer, the girls love art. Every day your duties will be different, but will include helping drive the children to school.

This family live in Mill Hill, which is a lovely suburb of NorthWest London. Mill Hill is a “trendy” area with bars, cafes, local shops, restaurants, good language schools, and many Au Pairs nearby. It also has the advantage of being very near to Brent Cross one of London’s major shopping centres. Mill Hill has easy access by both rail and underground to Central London in about 20 Minutes.
Dad is 35 years old, British and is a Company Director, and Mum is 35 years old, British and looks after the Children and Home. They have 3 lovely children a girl aged 5years, a Boy aged 4 years, and a Baby boy of 6 months.
They have described themselves as a very friendly but hectic household, as poor old Mum spends a lot of time in the car taking the children to and from all their activities! Everyone loves to walk, go swimming, reading and going to the cinema.
Your duties are general housework, ironing and looking after the baby for approximately 2 ½ hours in the morning while mum is on the school run. You will also sometimes work from 2.30 -7.00pm, and on other days only from 5pm -7pm. In these times you will need to clean, and babysit whilst Mum picks the other children up from school, and then play with them. You will be needed to clear up after the children have eaten, and help with giving them their baths and putting them to bed. You will be required to Babysit up to 3 nights per week and most Saturday nights. This family have a cleaner to do all the other housework.
The only pet that the Family have is a very small goldfish!
You will have your own room with a TV, DVD, CD player and cupboard space.
The family would like someone to start by early September if possible.

The House is Semi -Detached, with 3 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms.
You will have your own Room, with a shower and Toilet.
Your duties are not too strenuous, but you will need to have high standards – the Lady used to run a Hotel, so expects you to clean and do laundry very well!
You actually will be needed P/T over 5 ½ days per week.
Monday to Friday you will need to be up at 7am, and make the morning Tea, Breakfast if necessary, and clean the Office before the Gentleman starts work for the day. Then will be general Cleaning and tidying, until 12.30 lunchtime.12.30 - 4pm is free time, and then you are needed back at home to help clear up from food preparation for Dinner, serve Dinner, and clear up.
This position would suit someone who likes a quiet environment in which to work, and who has a quiet, smiling nature.
