If you are a family looking for a Nanny, Mother’s Help, Housekeeper, or Companion my Domestic Staff Agency can help you!
I understand that when you are looking for a Nanny, you need to find a person in whom you can place implicit faith and trust – it is sometimes far from easy to hand over your children, and entrust their well being, into the hands of another person.
It is therefore an enormous responsibility to source a Nanny, and I take great care in doing so.
Some Nannies are qualified, some are not, but all my Nannies have to have an absolute minimum of 2 years’ experience in the UK as a Nanny, with UK letters of reference, which we verify.
I prefer that all Nannies have a CRB check, and will send off for one on your behalf, for a nominal fee.
Additionally, I believe in nannies having first aid knowledge, so that you are reassured that they could look after your child in an emergency, and as an ANA member link with various 1st Aid training organisations, which will give you a discount on the cost of the Training Course, if you have recruited the nanny through me.
I can also pass on information with regards to the criteria for the Nanny to be registered with Ofsted, and can assist both you and the Nanny with this.
(Ofsted gives you the reassurance of ongoing police checks, direct notification in the (hopefully unlikely) event that your Nanny has had a problem involving the police, knowing that the Nanny has 1st aid training, Nanny Insurance, core skills training, and can give you the benefit of childcare vouchers in some circumstances.)
When sourcing a Housekeeper for you, I look for a person who can show previous experience of working in a busy, large and demanding household, working for a previous employer who in all probability had the same particular standards as you.
I am only interested in Applicants who are used to both working on their own initiative, but who are adaptable enough to both take and remember instructions, so that your Household is run in a way that suits you.
Some of my housekeepers are also excellent cooks, and may even be able to assist in catering for your dinner parties.
Norma Lewis Domestic Staff Agency understands that keeping an eye on ageing, sometimes frail, parents or even a needy spouse is often extremely difficult. Whether you look after someone yourself at home, or oversee their welfare from further away, I can help you.
Do you need someone to help with the strain of wondering how you yourself can be in 2 or 3 places at once – how do you work, look after your own family and home, but also be around to make sure that your Mum and Dad aren’t alone, take their medicines, attend their Hospital appointments, and cook themselves a meal safely? Or even remember to eat it? And what about that terrible worry of not being there to ensure that they are safe at night, when you are scared that they might take a fall?
Perhaps they just need a Companion - a kind, sensitive person who can live with your parent, and keep a caring, responsible eye out for them, and be around at all those other times.
