Norma Lewis Domestic Staff Agency is based in Bushey, Hertfordshire, a suburb to the North West of London.
We service Client families who are looking for Au Pairs, Nannies House Keepers, Mother's Helps and After School Carers, and Carer -Companions for the Elderly who wish to stay living in their own Homes. Our Families live within suburbs of London and surrounding areas such as:

Bushey, Watford ,Radlett, Elstree and Borehamwood (Hertfordshire),
Stanmore, Kenton, Harrow (Middlesex),
Edgware, Mill Hill, Hendon, Golders Green, Hampstead and Hampstead Garden Suburb, (Barnet, Camden, and North West London),
Central London itself, including such areas as Swiss Cottage, St John’s Wood, Chelsea, Kensington, and Knightsbridge. (Westminster)

Safe sites, secure electronic data, shredded information - all part of the security you have when using my Domestic Staff Agency , as I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. I therefore comply with legislation covering Data Protection, and both the storage and disposal of confidential information (in both electronic and paper format) on Applicants and Client Families.

Additionally, when I advertise and post adverts on your behalf (at my cost, not yours), it is only my details that are given out – your confidential details remain exactly that... confidential!

Why pay my Agency Fee?

Please think twice before considering using one of the cheap or free websites set up to source Nannies, House Keepers, Au Pairs and other forms of childcare, - unless you have the ability to check and translate all documents that should be obtained before inviting a person into your home to live with you, and entrusting your children into their care. Surely, a fee charged by a reputable agency such as Norma Lewis Domestic Staff Agency is a small price to pay for your children's safety?

All applicants from Norma Lewis Domestic Staff Agency hold references which are fully translated (if applicable) and verified by us. We also obtain all ID documents. I can also apply on your behalf (but not pay!) for CRB documents for the Applicant.

When can you call my Domestic Staff Agency?

I personally supervise the running of the Agency, and am available (usual hours 9.30 am - 8pm Monday to Friday, and during Saturday day times for emergencies only) to find the person you would like to assist you with your child care and home help needs - from an Au Pair, Mother's Help, After School Carer or Nanny, through to a House Keeper or a Carer - Companion for the Elderly.

“Applicants of the Week”

KW - a girl aged 25 who is intelligent and has a full Pedagogy Degree giving her full knowledge and experience of both childcare and child development . She speaks fluent English. Her first position in the UK was in Mill Hill working full time as a Nanny with sole charge responsibility looking after 3 children aged 1, 3 and 6 years. She also has experience in Poland. KW holds a driving licence valid for the UK but very responsibly says that she needs to be given practice here before she would accept a Nanny position that includes driving children. She holds a Police Check Certificate
KW is looking for a salary of £300+ per week net.

IS – is a vibrant outgoing Portuguese woman who is a whirlwind of activity. She is living in her own home in NW London. She has over 17 years of being a top housekeeper in London. IS is currently working in a very large home in Radlett, but only in the afternoons and is looking to work in the mornings. She is happy to cook, clean, run your home and do anything that is required within your home ..... and all to a very high standard. IS has also looked after elderly people in the past. She has outstanding references from previous employers and holds a full UK driving licence.IS is looking for a salary of £10 per hour net.

CK – an extremely experienced and qualified English Nanny, aged 23 yrs. CK has worked with all ages of Babies and children, from newborn twins upwards. She has also cared for severely disabled children and their siblings, in, as her referee said “a calming manner”. CK has worked both in England and Overseas (Egypt, Italy, Monte Carlo and Greece). She is NNEB qualified, holds a Paediatric First Aid Certificate, a Deaf Awareness Certificate, a CRB check, and glowing references. CK is looking for a salary of £300 net per week +, and will consider either a live out or live in position.

EDA MAYALI – Eda is 23, and comes from a happy and close Family, and they enjoy doing things together. Her Dad is retired, and her Mum is at Home. She has 2 brothers, one of 22 and one of 4 years. She says that she has been the 4 year old’s “little mother” since his Birth. Additionally, Eda has a lot of other childcare experience – having taken care of her neighbour’s twins from when they were 2 ½ years old, as well as her many cousins. She is used to feeding bathing / playing games / watching cartoons/ going swimming and making sandcastles on the beach... sounds fun! Eda graduated in English Language and Literature, and lived away from home for 4 years while she was studying, and now works in a Translation office. She would like to live in England to learn our culture, and speak English as the English do! She says “Because of my department I am familiar with English culture, but I want to experience it closely. I am an open minded, tolerant, flexible and cheerful person. I have been informed about my duties and responsibilities as an Au pair, and I would like to be a successful Au Pair.I am happy to help you with your children and your house.”

YASEMIN KALKAN – DRIVER Yasemin is 25 years old, and a graduate in Textiles and fashion design. She has worked within this field for the previous 6 years, and as she deals with a lot of foreign customers, she would like to take time out to improve her English. She has a younger sister and brother, and says that she has always been a 2nd mother to them – she has prepared their meals, changed their clothes, taken them to school, attended School meetings etc. She has also done a lot of babysitting for a colleague, and cared for her two children aged 6 and 3 for the previous 2 years. She is experienced with changing nappies, and keeping them fully amused, playing games, reading books, trips to the Park, etc. As well as these children, she has looked after a neighbour’s daughter from the age of 3 months until 4years. She says that as she has been driving since 2001 she is a good and confident driver – she has even given lessons to other people. Yasemin loves all animals, especially dogs. She is fit, and enjoys Turkish dancing, swimming, cycling and walking. She also loves cooking and Handicrafts. She says of herself: “I know my responsibilities, and carry them out properly. I am a flexible, kind, friendly and helpful person. I respect other people’s beliefs and ideas.”
